The first sight

We took a little drive with 4 other families to a lake with a nearby trail to a waterfall hoping for a nice spring nature walk. Shortly after we arrived we noticed what we thought was a bird land in the water. It managed to alight again and we noticed it looked like a bat, which it was, and we saw it land in some leaves a little ways off. As we got closer we noticed it laying on the ground with wings outstretched (apparently to dry them) and allowing Kezzi to poke at it a bit. Finally it climbed up a small pine to nearly eye level and posed this wonderful pose for me to take. Isn't he/she awesome!
